Rundfahrt zu den Fachwerkkirchen : Morembert
Nestled in a quiet corner of greenery, this small sanctuary was originally built in the 1530s to be a manor chapel.
When it became a parish church in 1841, the closed porch - locally known as a halloy - was added to it, as well as a sacristy on the eastern end.
It is these transformations which give the church a certain lack of unity, which is particularly noticeable with the windows.
Its sloping roof is topped by a pretty slate-covered octagonal bell tower which was built in the 18th century and which has been renovated several times.
Inside, you can admire the baptismal font as well as two statues, one of which represents St. Claudius, the other in stone representing a Pieta. These works date back to the 16,h century.
